<lom:langstring xml:lang="en">The research focuses on the question of a possible influence of social work on the revolving door effect in recurring help requests at the telephone health counseling service 1450. Guided interviews were conducted with employees of the health counseling service at two locations. In addition, a specialist in social work from a mobile psychosocial acute care was interviewed for a further professional assessment of the topic. As a central research result, it can be argued that revolving door effects could be positively influenced in certain situations. As an example, a positive effect of social workers' support in strengthening the social network and providing livelihood securing measures for recurring calls caused by loneliness can be identified.</lom:langstring>
