<dc:title xml:lang="en">Prototype and Demo of the SoniScope prototype</dc:title>

  
<dc:description xml:lang="en">SoniScope is the prototypical implementation of a concept for audio-visual analysis of multivariate data, running inside Jupyter. It combines a scatterplot with an interactive parameter mapping sonification, thereby conveying additional information about items that were selected with a visual lens. SoniScope provides several options for the shape of its lens and the sorting of the selected items for subsequent sonification. Non-visible attributes are sonified via pitch and onset times of 0D auditory marks. For the SoniScope framework, we present a system architecture built on the basis of three well-established software frameworks: Project Jupyter for data analysis, D3.js for visualization, and SuperCollider for sonification.
