<lom:langstring xml:lang="en">This research work is a bachelor thesis that addresses the question of how the relationship between peers and users is formed in different fields of social work. The research team, consisting of twelve social work students from the University of Applied Sciences St. Pölten, focused on three important topics: Proximity and distance, role shaping and diversity. The research areas were homeless assistance in Vienna (Wiener Wohnungslosenhilfe), queer organizations, recovery assistance, educational institutions as well as the area of people with disabilities. Seite 4 Qualitative interviews, focus group discussions and written surveys with peer workers and users, who were involved in the research process as co-researchers, were used to collect data, which was analysed using structure-guided text analysis and documentary interpretation. The research team was guided by the basic principles of participatory research. Theoretical localisations form the beginning of this work. The methodological procedure will be disclosed in the next step. In the results section, the findings from the different fields of action are compared, discussed and a research outlook is given. The aim of this work is to create a joint product for practice and teaching that can be useful for social workers and peers in their work.</lom:langstring>

<lom:langstring xml:lang="de">Die vorliegende Forschungsarbeit ist eine Bachelorarbeit, die der Frage nachgeht, wie sich die
Beziehung zwischen Peers und Nutzer:innen in verschiedenen Handlungsfeldern der Sozialen
Arbeit gestaltet.
Das Forschungsteam, bestehend aus zwölf Studierenden der FH-St. Pölten mit der
Studienrichtung Soziale Arbeit, orientierte sich dabei an drei wichtigen Themenblöcken: Nähe
und Distanz, Rollengestaltung sowie Diversität. Die Forschungsbereiche waren die Wiener
Wohnungslosenhilfe, Queere Organisationen, die Genesungsbegleitung,
Bildungseinrichtungen sowie der Bereich Menschen mit Behinderung.
Anhand von qualitativen Interviews, Fokusgruppen-Diskussionen und schriftlichen
Befragungen mit Peer-Berater:innen und Nutzer:innen, die als Co-Forschende in den
Forschungsprozess einbezogen wurden, konnten Daten erhoben werden, welche mit der
strukturgeleiteten Textanalyse und durch dokumentierendes Interpretieren ausgewertet
wurden. Dabei orientierte sich das Forschungskollegium an den Grundprinzipien der
partizipativen Forschung. Theoretische Verortungen bilden den Anfang dieser Arbeit. Das
methodische Vorgehen wird in einem nächsten Schritt offengelegt. Im Ergebnisteil werden die
Ergebnisse aus den unterschiedlichen Handlungsfeldern miteinander verglichen, diskutiert
und ein Forschungsausblick gegeben.
Das Ziel dieser Arbeit ist ein gemeinsames Produkt für Praxis und Lehre zu erstellen, welches
Peers und Sozialarbeiter:innen in ihrer Arbeit nützlich sein kann.</lom:langstring>
