Die Arbeit wurde im Rahmen des Forschungsprojektes „Alles verklickt? Pathologische Internetnutzung“ verfasst. Die Datenerhebung erfolgte auf Basis von Literaturrecherche, einer Gruppendiskussion sowie einem Experteninterview. Positiv und negativ erlebte Aspekte, Chancen und Risiken sozialer Medien und digitaler Kommunikation wurden ermittelt. Im Fokus hierbei standen die Auswirkungen auf die sozialen Beziehungen Jugendlicher. Weiters wurden Kriterien für eine pathologische Nutzung sozialer Medien sowie suchtfördernde Faktoren erhoben. Die Forschungsergebnisse zeigen, dass eine pathologische Nutzung sozialer Medien die Beziehungsgestaltung Jugendlicher negativ beeinflussen kann. Die übermäßige Präsenz auf Social Media kann einen Rückzug aus dem realen Leben bewirken, womit der Verlust sozialer Beziehungen verbunden sein kann. Der Fokus auf das Leben anderer im Netz, auf die dort präsentierte Scheinwelt kann negative Gefühle auslösen und damit Auswirkungen auf die Psyche haben. Der ständige soziale Druck online zu sein, um nicht ausgeschlossen zu werden, aber auch das Gefühl man könnte etwas verpassen, belasten den Alltag. Durch die virtuelle Distanz, aber auch die Anonymität im Netz, nimmt inadäquates Verhalten bis hin zu Mobbing zu. Übermäßiger Konsum sozialer Medien führt zu einer Reizüberflutung, sodass nicht nur die Aufmerksamkeit auf Inhalte, sondern auch auf zwischenmenschliche Kommunikation immer schwerer fällt. Es zeigt sich weiters, dass bei der OnlineKommunikation wesentliche Beziehungsaspekte, die für eine gelingende Beziehungsgestaltung wichtig sind, wie Empathie, emotionale Resonanz oder Kongruenz nicht in der Form zum Tragen kommen können, wie im persönlichen Kontakt."}]},{"@type":"bf:Note","skos:prefLabel":[{"@language":"eng","@value":"The aim of this bachelor thesis is to investigate the effects of pathological use of social media\non the relationship formation of young people. The work was carried out as a part of the\nresearch project “Everything clicked? Pathological Internet Use”. Using literature research, a\ngroup discussion and an expert interview, criteria for pathological use of social media and\naddiction-promoting factors were collected. Positive and negative aspects, opportunities and\nrisks of social media and digital communication were determined. The focus here was on the\neffects on the social relationships of young people. Excessive presence on social media can cause\nwithdrawal from real life, which can result in the loss of social relationships. The focus on the\nlives of others online, on the illusory world presented there, can trigger negative feelings and\nthus have an impact on the psyche. The constant social pressure to be online in order not to\n\n Seite III\nbe excluded, but also the feeling that you could miss something, burden everyday life. Due to\nthe virtual distance, but also the anonymity on the net, inappropriate behaviour and bullying is\nincreasing. Excessive consumption of social media leads to sensory overload, making it\nincreasingly difficult not only to pay attention to content, but also to interpersonal\ncommunication.
