<dc:description xml:lang="eng">This qualitative research paper was produced as part of the bachelor's project "Old-age poverty and non-take-up in the light of inflation and health". It aims to describe how residents of a socially assisted housing unit organize their social participation and which factors influence the organization of this participation. In the phenomenon of "poverty in old age", two strong marginalization factors interact, which can have a negative influence on social participation. In order to determine this, three problem-centered interviews were conducted with residents for this study and questionnaires were filled out regarding the benefits claimed. The approach was designed to be open-ended and describes how social participation is shaped but also what possible courses of action can arise for social work.</dc:description>
