<title>Human, Soul, and AI: Generative Systems as Reflexive Media for Introspection</title>

<description descriptionType="Other">Generative artificial intelligence increasingly participates in domains traditionally associated with human
creativity and self-expression. This paper examines whether generative AI can function not merely as a
representational tool but as a medium that may encourage processes of self-interpretation. Drawing on
biblical anthropology (Hebrew nephesh, Greek psychē) and the metaphor of the soul as a non-reductive
model of human identity, we analyze the deployment of the AI Soul Imprint Generator (AISIG), an
interactive system that transforms user responses into AI-generated imagery. We argue that such systems
may be understood as reflexive media: their significance lies not in representation but in staging encounters
with one’s own articulated elements. By framing the interaction through the concept of the soul, the
application redirects visualization from evaluation to coherence, inviting users to reflect on the unity of
their lived identity. The study contributes to creative media and UX research by proposing a shift from
epistemic visualization toward existential orientation and by demonstrating how theological con cepts can
function as conceptual resources within design theory.</description>
